Dutch rules disputes and scorekeeper troubleshooting
Start with the fact that is actually known: the drawn pile, the affected position, the confirmed round or the stored match. This guide separates canonical rules from product behaviour and says when information is unavailable instead of inventing a reconstruction.
We disagree about a move
Pause before the next player draws. Reconstruct only the visible sequence: where the card came from, whether it was swapped or discarded, and whether a Jack or Queen was discarded from a deck draw. Use the complete rulebook for the canonical result.
If hidden information was accidentally exposed, there may be no perfectly fair reversal. Agree on the least speculative repair, state it to the table and continue. Record a house ruling for the rest of that match so the same event is treated consistently.
A confirmed round score is wrong
Use Undo to remove the most recently confirmed round, then enter the agreed values again. If several later rounds already depend on the mistake, write down the visible totals before changing anything and repair in order. Do not add a fake compensation round.
A completed historical match is read-only by design. This protects its recap and allows a rematch to create a distinct game rather than overwriting the old result.
My offline match or history is missing
Guest and offline games are stored in that browser profile on that device. Check that you are using the same browser profile and have not cleared site data. Private browsing sessions and automatic storage cleanup may not retain local history.
An authenticated game can also save a cloud snapshot when the service is available. A failed network save must not alter the completed local result. Old records with less round detail should still show known standings and totals while omitting unsupported moments.
Play again, updates and stale screens
Play again creates a new game identity with the same player order, colours, avatars and settings, while resetting scores, rounds, timers and winner state. The completed match remains in history. If a newer app version is available during a game, finish or safely save the match before choosing Refresh.
The app should never reload repeatedly to recover a stale JavaScript chunk. If one controlled refresh does not repair the screen, return home and use the version shown in Settings when reporting the problem.
Professor Cartouche, audio and privacy
Professor commentary is optional and must not delay the result. Audio never starts automatically. You can replay or mute it, and a localized deterministic message remains available if generation fails, times out or is rate-limited.
When AI commentary is enabled, the request should contain only the match facts needed for a short finale—not email addresses, account IDs, session identifiers or raw private history. Sharing a result follows the same rule: names and standings may be included, internal identifiers may not.
